Title: Disco 1 200tdi, engine number position?
Post by: lightweight-love on January 23, 2009, 15:20:22: Need to find the engine number for insurance, thought wud be easy to spot but...
Is it on the top beside the rocker cover? if so its HRC and 4 numbers is this it?

Post by: lightweight-love on January 23, 2009, 17:55:06: changed to adrian flux seems a good cover and best price, but they want loads of info about everything, and cant not fill in engine number(as they sent it back) is strange as my V5 didnt even have old engine number on.

Post by: peasey on January 23, 2009, 18:16:31: The HRC number is the part number of the thing its stamped on.I have a 300TDI and mine is on the front left of the head as you look at the front of the car,just above the fuel pump bracket nearest the front.As yours is a 200 it could well be somewhere else.
