Title: Diesel Series 3 Misfire
Post by: stevepage3 on January 31, 2009, 16:34:13
I have a 2.25 Diesel series 3, When it is on tickover it coughs and emits a puff of grey smoke, any ideas on what might be the cause of this, and what I can do to rectify it.

I have not had the chance to drive the car on the road, so don't really know what it runs like.

It starts first time every time after about 10 secs using the glow plugs.

Thanks in advance Steve.

you really need to take them somwhere that can check the spray pattern they emmit, im not sure how accurately you can do it yourself, you could remove them and just look to see if they all spray in a similar pettern
