Title: Memory seat ECU
Post by: Range Rover Blues on February 03, 2009, 01:27:56
I think my memory seat ECU has packed up, lack of use recently and I think the condensation has done for it.

Has anyone ever had one reconditioned or am I looking for a second hand one?

As always any advice greatly appreciated ;)

Is it just the memory side that is not working? if the switches have stopped working is fiddly but easy to fix.

Nope, it's the memory unit.  The other day operating the seat switches caused the mirrors to move, then yesterday when I oopened the door both mirrors whent skywards and I can't move anything.  I reckon condensation has got onto the circuit board.

No mate, it's the ECU for the seats/mirrors in cars with memory seats.  Notorious for packing up in a style similar to mine

Yeah, bummer eh, mine went to. After a little chat with Buster we manualy moved the seat to a drivable position with a 12v battery and some wire. Then payed £120 for a second hand ECU of fleebay.

Luckily on the soft dash the seat is bolted in slightly differently, to make assembly quicker I think, so I can remove it easily if the bolts will budge.

I'm annoyed because there was a good one on the other LSE I had nicked last year
