A friend of mine has been looking for a small 4x4, he lives on a large estate (belongs to his wife's family) and was looking at £2K's worth of car, Freelander size. Something practical that can be used daily.
Well to my suprise he has got a Kia Sportage, its a 2001, full leather electric everything and a bull bar. To be fair I was surprised at his choice but looking at the car and its write up's it seems like a good choice.
It seems good value for money, anyone had experience with them?

helped tow one up a bank and out a field- took two defenders to free it :) probably more due to the driver than the car though

We own a Kia Sedona, only thing that may be frustrating is the turning circle. Ours and everyone else that we've asked said the turning cirsle is awful on most models. But very powerful and extremely comfy. Don't know about parts prices or anything becuase we've had no problems for the 12 months we've owned it. and havn't any experience with the sportage. Another thing with all Korean cars is they depreciate like no-ones business!
