Title: Snow Leave?
Post by: carbore on February 10, 2009, 21:52:00
Right is anyone going to stir it up at work about people who diddnt go in when it snowed?  I see TFL workers are being asked to take it as holiday.

If all your colleagues were not in and you were why not ask if you can have a day off to take when you want to make up for your commitment. Or perhaps a days pay to make up for the extra tax you pay that your colleagues like to dig you about. Me, im a contactor and on a day rate so cant say anything.....

Mate was telling me about his mate who is a GP with a landrover and sick of having to do everyone else's rounds who phones in stuck, said hes selling the landrover so whos problem is that going to be....

....thoughts....

Not a chance in my line of work. HQ sent out warnings telling us all to leave extra early to get to work, so the 'can't get in because of traffic caused by snow' excuse wasn't an option! :( And they still expected us to respond to emergencies in Focuses and BMW's. Crazy! By the way, traction control in snow is very boring!
