mmhh, the heater fan is squeeking continually. Does anyone know if this is an easy job to sort out??
Maybe it would be wise to wait until spring...

Get it done Roddie, mine was squeeking for a long time, now it has ceased all together and all I get if I switch it on is a smell of burning.
Will sort it tommorow, (but tomorrow never comes).

Mine squeaks badly too. I will do it, but I need to get a round tuit.

One of those jobs for tomorrow then, I promise I will do it but I will need to nip into Halfords first for the round tuit

Having looked in the Haynes manual, it seems you need to remove the air distribution casing. The first line of that manual section on doing that reads "Drain the cooling system"
Not too difficult then, just hell of a lot of work.

mmh, maybe I just need to sort out the CD changer and pump up the volume, that'll do the trick for now
Thanks for the thoughts :)

mine always used to squeak on first setting, the bearing are probably wearing, not much you can do about that as they are sealed iirc.
i fire mine up to 3 then back down to 1 and it seems to balanceitself and stop squeaking.
4 or 5 months later it no longer squeaks ! :-)
One thing you can try is to spray a loadof wd40 into the air intake with the blower on full or some light oil of some description. On my other car I let some used engine oil soak down the shaft of the fan.
