Title: Rear wiper only sweeps once for every button push - doesn't stay on. Relay duff?
Post by: auf_wiedersehen_pet on February 15, 2009, 19:04:16
My rear wiper only sweeps once for every button push - it doesn't stay on. I have to press the button every few minutes to get it to wipe.

Is the relay duff?

Where is the relay situated?

When I got mine I had the same problem , sust out in the end that the switches had been put on the wrong way round ie. I could switch on the rear squirter and it would stay on but the wiper would only do one wipe

swapped the switches over (and the little inserts with the pics on and everything works fine)..

Might be that someone has changed a broken switch for and squirter rather than a wipe  :-k

Just popped them out - they are correct switches in correct holes with the correct connectors. Damn.

The relay is behind the passenger side kick panel.
I bought one off ebay for less than £5 delivered. My rear wiper had a life of its own. It sometimes ran all the time(without switching it on) and sometimes  it wouldnt run at all.

My Micra does that, cam-bus wiring.
