hi folks sorry if im repeating a thred but Im trying to learn how to do things my self didnt relise how low teck these older discos are'
the questions I wanted to ask was 1)would a classic rrc frount bumper fit on a tdi200 dico with out too much agro,
2 could I fit rrc lights and grill two a tdi200 as Ive got the chance of what eveer I want of a 1979 straigh6 disel one
-
The chassis where the bumpers fit on are the same, however the RRC bumper is probably the wrong shape for a discovery. Either it would look odd or need a fair bit of altering to fit right.
From memmory the front of the bodies are signifcatly different, fitting RRC grill and round headlights may be possible but highly unlikely to be just a simple nut&bolt job.

thanks for replying, just looked at it and not worth faffing arround with

Seen it done, the inner wings are the same pressings but the front panel curves differnelty and ther Disco is narrower but longer so it looks odd without some effort, but you can add the whole front panel to a Disco then graft on the RRC lights, there is enough build tolerance to accomodate the difference in body widths too.

You mean something like this?

That looks pretty goo doesn't it :D and I reckon with some care about penal gaps you could get the same effect on the bonnet to wing joint that the Disco has along the doors and rear corners (the swage line).

think after seeing that I might give that some serious thought looks very good and as I said I can have the hole rangi if wanted and she still runs

Yeah I reckon it looks the dogs danglies!
