Title: Electric Window - 300TDi
Post by: robbie on March 13, 2005, 16:22:07
Does anyone have a winder assembly for the front nearside door. It seems that someone in the past has had a broken window replaced, and very poorly too. They have replaced ther glass but literally 'wedged' the new glass shut by the old mechanism.

Of course when the window has trioed to move, it has now bent some of the flimsy bars and broken one of the rollers!!!

Any other ideas to replace will be greatly received :)

Robbie try Rimmer Bros...

www.rimmerbros.co.uk

You dont say if its electric or manual but

LH REGULATOR ALR6473 (MANUAL) = £49.94 inc vat

LH REGULATOR CUH102310 (ELECTRIC) = £46.94 inc vat

Give em a ring, theyre very helpful. (01522 568000)

Had to replace both on my motor (electric) not a bad job, probably an

hour to do each one.

HTH.

Thanks for that, I will check them out tomorrow.

The problem is that someone has replaced a window glass incorrectly and caused problems.

The fitment where the glass should be sandwiched between to allow it to go up and down has not been fitted. Instead, it was used to wedge the new glass up so it would not fall!! Plonkers!!

The mechanism is now bent and one of the plastic rollers has broken beyond repair. It needs a new mechanical part. The motor and solenoid is fine

Managed to get a new part from Paddocks. Fitted fine.

One issue was getting the metal strip to fit on the window, took about 10 minutes for tha bit, maybe 1hr in total and now works fine
