I can across this today while out playing.
I think it used to be an Isuzu trooper.

Lets just hope they were still in it when it burnt the thieving scum. By the way who would be responsible for recovering the wreck and clearing the area?

The car's owner, their insurance company and/or the landowner.

Assuming that is that it was stolen I assume, As it could be an insurances job, or even just an accident or mechanical failure you can can't tell from just a picture.

Always take care when poking around burnt out motors, some of the synthetic seals etc can turn into nasty stuff. ( hydrofluoric acid ) i think. We used to do a lot or recovery work for west mercia police and had warnings about it, don't know if the same material is still used.

I think on the balance of probabilities, it's stolen. There are a lot of burnt-out wrecks on byways and similar out of the way places, and if it was for a genuine reason it's likely that the owner / insurer would get it recovered pretty quickly.
Burnt-out cars are nasty - especially the hydrofluoric acid. Amputation can be the only 'cure' if you get it on you.

Dear Mr Brooks,
Thank you for the e-mail regarding an abandoned vehicle on Atlantic trading
estate.
To forward a request for the car to be picked up, our waste management team
will need the make, model and registration of the abandoned vehicle.
If you require any more information please do not hesitate to contact us.
Kind Regards,

Very good point
Mostly its anything made from Viton and some other High temp resisting plastics, often found in brake calipers as its fine up untill 700 degrees or so but if it gets near 1000 as in a car fire it changes state and gives off the acid.
If you get it on your skin then the only treatment is to cut the skin away, in the early days a few fire men lost fingersto it.
Its also used in mny hydrauic systems

Very cute - knowing full well there is no liklihood of finding the reg number they can claim they don't have to move it
