I'm about to repaint the kitchen , which was skimmed over about 3 months ago , so it's now nice and dry.
What would be a good first coat to use - i was thinking about watering down some trade emulsion , would that be a good/bad thing to use?
Cheers

Thin coat of Trade non silk emulsion first, leave it for a couple of days and then what ever she wants.

From memory we Unibonded our plaster to seal it, then a weak emulsion them a couple of coats of finish paint, took a while but worth it, but we did have a complete house to do

just use a hite emulsion and leave a couple of days as stated above

unless the plaster has got greasy from the kitchen or has water marks which can stain through and yellow your paint, i wouldnt bother with the pva .if you do use it, just add a drop into a diluted mix of white emulsion .
when working on new built houses they get one mist coat of thinned white emulsion throughout then two good coats on top.

don't pva it.The paint won't stick to the plaster only the pva.
Mist coat as someone has already mentioned is all you need.
Just a bit of matt mixed thinned out with a little water.
