Title: rising temp gauge

went to south end on sea today just as i got onto the M11 from cambridge the temp went up just below the red pulled off at duxford and checked all water levels they was fine had the heater blower on full and temp went down and all the way down it stayed normal but on the way back came of the M25 onto M11 and up it goes to the red so on goes heater blowers and down it goes to normal I am now thinking my disco dont like the M11

first thing to check is the rad. make sure all the fins are there if there is a a big gap of fins missing this could be your problem as the fins help to cool the rad .or try flushing the system could be some crap inside

Weren't you playing in Thetford Forest last week ????

Did you clean the radiator out afterwards ?? Told mad daughter to do hers as a matter of most importance after the wallowing !

I'd check your rad first Henry, I know some of the fins are shot on mine and sometimes the temp sparts to rise a little, but I've never had it to the red yet...!!!

has the engine got enouh oil as we had a similar prob with one  of our group when last out laneing.

 yes henry i would say its your rad bloked mine was like a slab after the bomb hole took it out and blew the rad through all good now
