Title: turbo gauge
Post by: Andy41 on March 10, 2009, 21:53:23
I'd like to fit a turbo boost gauge to try and drive more economically
where do i fit it at the engine end obviously at the turbo but where?
thinkin of getting a mudpod fitting it on dash.
what are your thoughts  :-k

the haynes manual suggest removing the small pipe and putting a t piece in with the pipework up to the gauge, and another pipe to complete the original system, haven't got a pic ATM but look under the servicing chapter at the front of the book

Tap a hole in the (brass?) plug in the inlet manifold to get a true boost reading, run the piping through a gromet in the bulkhead then get a piece of guttering pipe and mount it in the edge of the centre console between the dash and centre console- drop the gauge in! Looks tidy and keeps it out of the way.

If you search the forum this has been covered a few times. There are even a few pictures somewhere.
