£100 from Paddocks, are you sure? mine cost £176, the surcharge was £116 on the old one!
-
yup that's the one.. when we talk about the drop arm, i assume that's the bit that joins onto the bar that joins to the swivel housing on the opposite side. So is that a straight one then?
Yup steering box is £100 or £109 with arm, £100 surcharge.. Thats about £130 inc VAT.

oh what does "to JA018109" refer to - I'm assuming it's some kind of chasis number, my number is something like "salljgbf7ga459613"

Well I ordered the 'non straight' one which was the to JA one... The arm looks pretty straight to me, what does the real straight one look like?
Thank you all for your help and guidance :-)

If it turns out you have the wrong drop arm on the new box, you can buy the correct track rod end to suit the other arm for a few quid, lot easier than changing the arm in some cases

Unfortunately for some they are on special offer this month at Paddocks. Looks like your timing was off a bit Andy.
I always keep an eye on Paddocks webpage for their specials.
Disks at 6.00 +vat the other month.

I did think they were a bit cheap, I was putting the job off for a ages cus they were at least 50% more than what I paid via paddocks.. Maybe we shoudl have a thread "paddocks special of the month" :-)

Damn right, just think what i could have spent the £76 on :(
No, don't even suggest it, I'm p'ed off now.
-
Yes they are well worth a look at, there updates are not a regular monthly thing, a bit haphazard
Picked up a good deal on service parts a few times myself
-
I didn't even know they were on special offer until someone pointed it out - I just htought that it was paddock doing a great price!
It turned up today too :-)
