Now how is this for co-incidence then.... my nephew in Australia ALSO has a Discovery, a 3.9 ltr V6. I think it is a 200 series 3 door.
He uses it regularly for going over the sand dunes etc etc
Sand dunes are of course, just very dry dusty mud....

well, it seems fine :) Have you seen the other post with the piccies on it?? I had to try it out of course
There are a few niddles, but then it is 7/8 yrs old. Fuel economy is about the same as the Shogun, the room in the boot could be a little bigger, but overall it is better than I thought it would be. Once the window is fixed and the wiper motor sorted, then it will be fine.
The performance off road is better than Shogun Sport because of the Difflock and the extra height.
It will be getting its first taste of real mud on Easter Sunday. Watch this space :)
My nephews car looks smart though for it year, I just wish I could afford the fuel here for a 3.9 ltr guzzler!!!

Love those wheels.

I assume we are talking 3.9 V8 and not V6? Or does it have a non-LR engine?
The only V6 currently in production (petrol) is the 2.5 in the Freelander.....

erm... it might be the V8 then, I was only guessing. His mum says it roars like a beast posessed, thinking about it that will be the V8 then... :)
