Could some one please help me and take a tape measurement across the width of the tread of the Tyre!
OR 245 75 x 16
I know the 265/285 relates to the tyre width but looking at the profile of the tyre i think they might be quite a bit over that!
I am needing to buy some asap, and currently have 265 MT's and the side wall radius's inwards as opposed to straight up on the Kumho's and i am slightly catching(but nothing some MINOR cutting/grinding wont over come, but don't want to butcher the car just to get these tyres on if when they turn up they are 15mm over width!)
Thanks in advance!

The "245" refers to the nominal section width of the tyre in mm. Tyre manufacturers make tyres to within a tolerance laid down by the European Tyre an Rim Organisation and so it is possible that 2 tyres of 245 section from differant manufacturers may acctually be slightly different in actual width. Why do you need to know the exact width?

For arch clearance,my current 265 75 16 mud terrain have a physical tyre width of 215mm across the tread, and catch slightly at full articulation!
The Kumho KL71 i went for was 245 75 16, this also has a physical tyre width of 214mm across the tread!
The Kumho 265 75 16 was more 230mm across the tread so would have ripped my arches off! :(
