if anyone is up for a weekends working on a 90 that needs the head taking off to investigate valve issues and look into injector problems aswell as breather problems and finding out why the fuel consumption is so poor

Doh!

If I can get the clutch sorted on my series we could perhaps use that for a round trip. Maybe borrow Grahams trailer if he'll let us.

Commiserations - I had a tyre blow out this morning (total non-event - the steering just pulled progressively more to the left and then it wouldn't turn, however by that stage I'd figured something was wrong and was slowing down). No damage other than needing a new tyre, used the original LR jack for the first time since I've had the car while swapping it with the spare!

will see how the weekend pans out, I've goto take the runabout back to the place I got it from tomorrow so the 88" may be pressed into service as a daily driver again.

Well it worked out ok - Paddock Spares are replacing the tyre free after I emailed them a photo of the hole. Just glad it happened on a quiet road rather than on a motorway, came to a halt without damaging anything.
