Hi
Does anyone know the procedure to change the input seals on Axles - the ones behind the driving flanges which bolt onto the propshafts.
I have a 110, I assume the front I just undo the centre nut, pop out the seal and refit and put a nut back on?
On the back is Salisbury axle, assume I do the same but when putting the nut back on I tighten up to 30lb/ft?
Or is it more complicated as normal!
Cheers

According to the manual, you should pull it all apart and replace the collapsable spacer. However, I am led to believe you can mark the position of the nut and make sure you retighten it to the same place. This should be fine if the bearings and flange are the same ones you take off. Obviously, if either of these is renewed, the spacer should also be replaced.

Hi Steve
What manual do you use?

I have a copy of the genuine one, but they are painfully expensive if you don't 'know someone'!
You should consider getting one of the Heritage CD's. They have the manual and microfiche in pdf format. I use mine all the time for finding part numbers.
These are good value too..... seem to be on special offer at the moment...
