Title: Wading Plugs
Post by: Dennis the diesel on March 29, 2009, 21:51:06
Hi all.

I'm after the sizes of the wading plugs, 1 for the clutch bell-housing and the other for the timing belt casing.
Are they a 'standard' (i.e. BSP) pipe thread type of bung, or are they a metric / A.N.Other thread form?

There to fit a 300 tdi Discovery - its ?nd hand so the ones in the toolkit have vanished!

Thanks in advance,      Chris

You can normally get them off ebay about £2 each.

I got mine from another chap on ebay for £2.50 with free P&P and they arrived the very next day but cant seem to see that he has any for sale at the moment

 Thank You Gents!

Did the E-bay bit and there's a set on the way.

Landrover Keith - there should have been a toolkit in your disco, unless it was removed earlier in its life - should live in the bag with the jack handle bits

The toolkit in my first 90 was behind the seats, had a couple of spanners, slip-joint pliers and a double ended screwdriver.

Plus, a Spark - Plug spanner - really handy on a 300Tdi!

Again, thanks for your help,  regards,  Chris
