Following on from my previous electrical problem I have now narrowed it down to possibly finding one thing.
Here goes, the radio, auto dip mirror, heated rear window, rear wash/wipe and electric windows all failed. Fuses OK and live +.
Having failed to find the fault I resigned myself to just getting the radio to work (need to hide all the rattles!!!). So, I jumped the +ve live feed for the radio memory to the ignition +ve. As expected the radio came to life.....but so did everything else.
What is there between the main fuse box and these end use items? I guess there is something like a relay or voltage sensitive relay as most of these items I believe would normally die under starting!!!
Anyone got any idea's of what it may be, what it looks like and where it may be located?
It is on a 1992 RRC Vogue 3.9L auto with AC.
Cheers

I had this problem with my Discovery, there are actually two fuses relevant to all that stuff. I don't know which one the other fuse is, but there is a 3 amp (I think) fuse for the radio and another higher ampage fuse which covers all of the other electrics i think.

Hi J.D.
Are these fuses you refer to part of the main fuse box or seperate? If the later, do you have any idea where they may be in relation to 'from the fuse box to the switches'?
Many thanks

Give me a call mate. I think i can explain it better over the phone than by typing it.
