Well. I think I will be doing day light robbery from a dealers this weekend. A mate has got me a cracking deal on a Ford Ranger Thunder.
56plate (registered in nov 06 so only has £120 road tax a year  ) 6 months ford warranty left, 31k on the clock, ford service history, a free rear load hood or what ever it is called, looks pristine, been owned by a manager of a company so hopefully looked after well, tow bar, 146bhp, average mpg 31 ish, nearly new tyres, air con, 6cd changer and loads else I cant think of and my mate got the dealer to knock a grand off the asking price!
My mate bought 2 rangers new off of this dealer and he treated him well so I hope to get the same good service as well.
Here are some pics hopefully.

I have a refundable deposit on it so when I see it on Saturday and it isn't as described or I dont like it, the dealer has said I will get my money back.
In a way I am very excited but in another, very scared as on Friday I hadn't even thought about changing my car just yet. I was saving up to pay a bit more of the mortgage off!!
Also in a bazar way, it is £250 cheaper to insure this ranger fully comp than it was my other cars 3rd party fire n theft. Wierd!

very nice, my dads just brought an 07 wildtrack ex demonsstrater with 5k on the clock- we were looking for the mazda version or the very basic model for work and ended up with the top spec with all the toys
only problem is i now want one and i might be cutting out luxurys like food to pay for it
seems like theres some good deals about at the moment, if yove got the cash...
is it the 2.5 or the 3.0?
-
this is the 2.5 one.
On Friday I had no plans on changing either vehicle and today I was just looking on the net. It was a good friend who found me this one through a dealer he used before.
Now I have a disco to sell soon. I will be upset to see it go though. Hopefully a MC member will buy it so I can see her live on in happyness.

just been looking on the web and i cant afford the insurance :( but i can for a td5 double cab  although they are harder to find
-
you sure about the road tax?
thought the cut off date was the 23rd March 06.
-
what dealer you getting that from ? my mate sells them for ford !
-
Re TAX am fairly sure as its a commercial with over a 1 ton payload its actually £80 year. (Regardless of if you are a business or domestic user)
Also without point out the obvious. Is that Including or excluding VAT, some trucks have ben VAT paid (e.g. privately owned) but anyyhing thats always been business may not have the vat paid/or its been reclaimed hence needs to be paid on a resale.? (I think)

Hello,
I think its an LCV so £180 per year regardless of age or engine size???
"Car tax (Vehicle Excise Duty) on all Mitsubishi LCVs is at a standard rate of £180 per annum, irrespective of their CO2 emissions."
http://www.mitsubishi-cars.co.uk/newl200/van_tax.asp
I think........

dealer has charged me £66 for him to tax it if i buy it. If he is wrong it is his loss I guess  i call it added into the deal
-
Hope you like it, I could really do wiht a pickup, but struggle to justify it with the freelander (now in wifes hands too much) so I end up whit our crappy old golf.
-
Good luck :D I work at a ford dealer
-
I was wondering if it would be wrong to put a green oval badge on the front? Would confuse people. I have had a play with paint. What do you all think? I like it personally.
