Hi Pepes,
As above manual switch on dash illuminates but no operation of Cruise Control, :shock: I know that most of them fail at some stage but as this is my first one , was just wondering the normal process to start repairing it. :-k
Am I supposed to see some form of warning light on the initial turn of the ignition key anywhere in the instrument panel?

If it's like the classic then start by checking the vacuum hoses for splits.

Cheers RRB found one split vac hose so off to try it out , will keep posted.
Whilst were at it, got a 1986 3.5 efi on gas started it yesterday to reverse into garden and when I got back in it it won't start. :twisted:
Will it have an inertia cut out switch somewhere? 8-[ 8-[ looked in Haynes and it should be under passenger seat but none there.
Was told to look on bulkhead in engine bay but can't see one where do I look now?? The petrol pump is not pumping and have removed fuses to isolate Gas system but still no power to the in-tank pump.
Any ideas

1986 doesn't have an inertia switch that I know of, from 1991 onwards it's under the back inside edge of the LH seat and on a softie it's on the bulkhead behind the washer bottle (different type of switch).
Check on the fusebox (dash) that there is power to the pump, if there is then check the state of the wiring in the rear N/S wheelarch as they often corrode, if that's ok then it might be the pump, tank out I'm afraid.

Don't ya just luv 'em, put a jumper wire across pin 30 to 86 on the pump relay and off she goes :? :? Turn off replace relay and off she goes again working on fuel and gas :doh: :-k
Anyway see what tomorrow brings but will clean mud off of wiring under back wing in case it's dodgy.
Guess the pump just got stuck or fancied a couple of days off ;) ;)
