Title: Squealing air-con belt
Post by: gords on March 18, 2005, 15:56:44: on and off, the air-con belt seems to start slipping and squealing like a pig (well, kind of :wink: )

Is the tensioner automatic, or manually adjusted? I.e. does it need tightening, or do I have a problem with the tensioner?

Or, something else :shock:

It's had a new belt and wheel thingy (cos it got clogged up with Bramcote mud and sha**ed the bearings :roll: ), but I haven't had cause to use it until today.

Post by: Range Rover Blues on March 19, 2005, 00:23:23: Funny, when I operate the "air con" in the Rangie there's no squealing, but my hat gets blown off in the breeze, unless I operate the rear "air con" too.

Post by: gords on March 19, 2005, 23:50:38: I had a look today and found the belt to be rather loose. I've tightened it but haven't had chance to try it yet...
