Title: electric car
Post by: blackbob on April 11, 2009, 15:17:33
thinking of building an electric car was going to use a rangerover but decided it would be to heavy but would be good fun to do
so thinking of using a renault clio has anyone done this or knows how to
found loads on u tube some pricey some cheep to do most using forklift motors
question is what type of throttle does a fork lift use and would it adapt its self to a electric car conversion
have seen a 48volt  motor ect on ebay and been offerd a clio with a blown engine
also think that a electric car dont need a mot but not cirtain but will be tax free and will have a range of about 50 to 80 miles per charge

I saw an electric van a couple of weeks ago, that looked to be based on a Transit 'Connect'.

Visually it was identical, bar the obvious lack of an exhaust.

'Quick off the mark' too
