A special Eddie Stobart Lorry.
Next year, (a year tomorrow infact) will be by Mums 60th birthday. She is forever looking at Eddie Stobart lorry names and reading on the ES web site, it takes 2 years for a name request to come through. Erm, well, it was a year and a month so my certificate has arrived a year early. doh
Anyway. This just means that hopefully a cunning plan to her suprise can be even bigger, and that is where I am calling out to MC members.
Please could you all keep your eyes peeled for the lorry name Jennifer Katherine. It is a scania lorry with the reg no PX09 BOU and fleet number L7244. If anyone does see it, please can you try and get a photo and email it to me at the address in my profile. A photo of her lorry would be awesome. I know some of you work for ES so maybe you might see it parked up in a yard?
A big ask, but if you dont ask.............
Thank you!!
-
I don;t suppose they would be able to tell you which yard it's based in would they... might narrow the search a bit...LOL!!
-
I asked and they said no. :( I dont know if the fleet number helps narrow it down?
-
how does one go about getting a lorry named then?
Ouir daughter is Lorry mad, (2 years old!) and it would be so cool to have truck named after her...
-
if you dont work for ES then you need to join thier fan club for 15 a year and put a request in, so it is about £30 as I have had to be a member for 2 years.
-
Will keep my eye out. Have done the same for my mum, requested her name last year sometime. Maybe it won't be long before I get a certificate to surprise her!
-
there is an ES fan club

must resist the temptation     but if i did succumb to temptation do you have to register your proper name or could you get away with putting up a funny made up name

Yea i work for stobarts. Fleet H5320 name stephine caroline (you were close rob ;) ). Will keep a eye out for her and get a pic if i see it. Just thinking with the "L" prefix strange one that they normally start with a "H" prefix.
And names do get check before they go on a wagon so no no silly names. But we do have a few forign names as well as "sqn Ldr Sue"

could be better than that we re doing the transportaion for a little up and coming race team. 13 new trucks and specialist trailers for the job. You may of heard of the new race team they are called "brawn F1" ;)
-
Oh yes. so maybe I might see the lorry on tv lol. Ooh, new hgv jobs maybe? I may have to enquire and get myself a job
-
Was going to try for the job myself but it means beening away from home from may to september with the team plus weeks away in winter time with the testing. Plus when you not working on the f1 side of things you do internation work so not a lot of time at home.
Oh and for names on trucks if you work for stobarts for 2 years you get to name your new truck yourself. So come december when i get my new truck it will have a my mums and the other halfs name on it.
-
Right quick update for you all Its one of the chill fleet wagons. So you are looking for a 4 wheel unit with a fridge trailer behind it.
Did mean to ask my planner what depo its from but he was busy so will find out next week.
It could be based at Alcester, corby, lanark, newark, and a few more scotland way. Will keep you posted on were she is.

Tommo sent me a picture of Hannah Louise a while ago after i spotted it.
Eldest Daughter Hannah was well chuffed to find out there is a ES truck with the same name as her.
I had a look at driving a for a F1 team but the being away from home for months on end didn't appeal as much as i thought it would
I just like coming home to my family of an evening
:D
