Anyone know anything about this?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LAND-ROVER-DISCOVERY-TDI-HYDROGEN-CELL-HHO-FSH-1997-P_W0QQitemZ220396018284QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAutomobiles_UK?hash=item220396018284&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2%7C65%3A7%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318
Sounds like a dodgy deal to me.

my mate had something like this he was looking at a honda crx delsol that was in spain enquiered about it etc was up for going over to get it but found out that is was a scam . . there is a lot of these happening at the moment . . . .
best way to know about it if it says like it does at the top of the ebay listing located in reading but infact they put in description located in spain . . thats the easiest way to tell about a scam . .

I thought as much. Someone rang me as they were interested in it and asked for my opinion on what a hydrogen powered Disco is like, I said I'd never heard of it, so stuck it on here to see if anyone else knew about it.
I thought it was a bit fishy like.

I'm not convinced that is a scam?
These hydrogen fueled ones are starting to be done, its not true hydrogen, its HHO or "Browns gas"
Some people are convinced they work, some think its rubbish, but whatever you think it doesn't make the vehicle a scam?
The seller is saying cash on collecton, so its not as though he's insisting on cash up front?
I wouldn't buy it, but thats becaue its far too expensive, list price is about £1500!

yup been around for a while Ive a couple of friends who supply and fit these professionally and when one guy round our way had one fitted to his rrc 3.9 he has saved its not huge but £10. less fuel per week on 200miles is very noticable still early days and will let you no his progress, as Iam considering this my self, as its 13rd the price to install of lpg and costs on every 1000 miles £8.00 so worth thinking about, Ihave to admit Ive been very sceptical but My opponion is changing, I would not say it made a truck worth that much though kit price from £360 ish from them upwards

Its not the fact that its on Hydrogen that made me sceptical, it was the fact that it was shown as being in Reading when actually the vehicle is in Spain which made me suspicious.

See, the bit I can't get past is this:
If HHO//Brown's Gas/whatever works, then why have none of the magazines run articles with a proper test of it? If it really saves you £10 per 200 miles then it's great, I'll be building and fitting one. But until I see a proper scientific test comparing two identical vehicles over the same route with the same driver (who doesn't know which is which) then I'll still advise caution.
It's perfectly possible that people are fitting this and then subconsciously driving more economically. In the same way that if you show the average person two cars that have an identical power and torque output then they'll think the one with the fruity exhaust note is the faster, even though when you compare them on paper there's no difference.

But if you read it, they guy has recently moved to Spain, so he's just not changed his location in the Ebay account!
