Ok i'm looking to get a set of BF Goodrich A/T's in the size 31x10.5x15.
I currently have a set of alloys which are holding tyres at 235/75/15.
Will the BFG's fit my alloys or do i need to go out and buy yet another set of wheels???
Any help appreciated cos i well confused.
Cheers John

 i haven't got a clue as you can tell.
ok do i just need to get a 7"x15" rim to take the 31x10.5 tyres???????

right. 235,75,15 are nominally equivilant to 29/9.25/15 tho the nearest real size is 30/9.5/15. now what that means is that first you need to have enough space under your arches. second are your rims wide enough as ideally they should be between j6 and j8 to take a 10.5 width tyre.

okay how do i no if they j6 or j8. btw i'm a newbie to off-roading hint being so stupid 8-[

it should be stamped onto the wheel somwhere though often it is well hidden. what vehicle are we talking about?
-
The wheels are off a ford maverick. they are standard 5 spoke alloys. i will have a hunt round the wheel. any idea roughly where to look?
-
you are talking to the right man as i had one of them last car. your rims will take them just don't run silly low pressures. as for clearance you may have to trim your rear mud flaps and also a bit off the front bumper but not much. however you will also need to level off the front to rear ride height using the torsion bars on the front. when i had mine on i had them on shogun alloys and used maxxis buckshot's not bfg.
