Title: help a mud clubber out
Post by: boss on April 27, 2009, 12:07:46
Alright chaps, its looking like work will not be letting me back until my hand is better (new cast goes on tomorrow :'( ), if this is the case I will not be able to pay rent so I am forced to do something I have been threatening to do for ages!

And make sliders.

They will cost around £130 a pair

Able to take tons of abuse and look smart too.

If you buy these from me not only are you funding my ability to have a house but you will also be funding my ability to buy bigger and better tooling and make more products in the future

Sliders are currently available for 3 door disco, by the end of the week they will be available for 90, 110, 109 and 88"

Sliders for discos bolt to the sill using existing holes, additional out riggers are available for further bracing to the chassis and can also be used to mount roll cages and are suitable for vehicles with body lifts

Sliders have a super strong triple tube construction, are welded properly using 130 of my finest amps with Argoshield gas and are primed and sprayed.

Colours available:-

Black, white , clear coat laquer (sand blasted first, extra £15), red, green and anthracite grey

If anyone has any questions/ comments ask away, ill be on Mud-Club all day

Anyone interested in buying a set you can pm me on  here (preferred) or email me at gaptoflat@yahoo.co.uk
I'm sorting out a number for people to call.

If anyone is interested in prototype testing for me contact me and leave vehicle details

Any and all comments welcome as it will help keep this thread near the top of the pile

Mods: if I am breaking any rules by posting this thread on M-C do not hesitate to remove it (although I would appreciate it if you would let me know on doing so)

Thank you all for reading

if you had some made up you could have brought them to Land rover clearout at the weekend at Gaydon, I'm sure they would sell well there :)

as far as i know the sills are the same on a disco and RRC but i will double check.

the clearout is a good idea but as im only a bloke in a shed i couldnt make nearley enough in such a short time, ive got to make up prototypes for disco2, 90 series 2 and 3 88" and possibly 4 door RRC by tuesday

I bet you'd shift a few of these on eBay.

You could even approach other suppliers who dont do their own fabrication and see if they would sell them for you, you would lose out on revenue per unit but the quantity should make sure you still get a healthy profit.

I've actually got some on mine - or will have when I have the time to fit them (and convince the ins. co. that they're "steps").

Best of luck with them
