Title: Jobs For The Weekend
Post by: TechnoTurkey on April 28, 2009, 10:38:55
Hopefully going to be able to give the rangie a few hours of love over the weekend.

I've got plenty of rust to sort, but that can wait as I want to get it running as well as possible firstly!

It over revs a bit and smells like it is running too rich.  I gather that it is vital to have the proper lucas leads, dizzy cap and rotor arm, so they are on their way.  I'll also try and give the stepper a good clean - what is the best product?  Is it worth doing the plugs or as it's not missing should I just leave it be?

The steering is a bit sloppy so I am resigned to potentially having to replace the box at some point, but hoping I can tighten it up enough for the MOT.

Fun fun fun!

seriously, lucarse is the prince of darkness!

a decent set of HT leads from a motorfactors would be better! new plugs are beneficial to the fuel consumption, my old rangie used to get new ones every 3000...
