Post by: topless matt on April 28, 2009, 20:40:21
Im going to make the leap to 35" tyres soon
Just wondering what peoples opinions of the maxxis tyres were, they will either be creepy crawlers or the mudzillers

Any opionions, good or bad, just want to know some thoughts

Im also making the same leap to 35's But i was looking at cooper stt's because they have a nice bit of side wall grip and im not keen on the directional tyre thing. mickey thompson baja claws are very simular to the mudzillers. i gather your not looking for drivability on road just off it?

Well, i already know how creepy crawlers perform on road......well by all accounts.
Just wondering what the off road performances were like of the two.

Did think about other makes of tyre but prefer the maxxis as i know they have a good reputation, and i run them on my downhill mountain bikes

im sure the creepy crawlers are mud tyres and the mudzilla is an extreme mud tyre. If i had to choose i would have to get the mudzillas just to be a little different even though im not keen on the directional tread. (the spare will get you home but might have to go on the wrong side.) ((or 2 spares))

i already have directional tyres so no worries about that really
I think im gonna go for the mudzillers now. Keep the KL71 as my road tyres
