Title: MOT in 3 hours and not ready
Post by: BobtailBogey on May 02, 2009, 06:59:20
Well i was planning on getting it all done last night but it decided to rain

so i still have the rear floor to fit and secure.

tighten the fuel tank bolts

fit front number plate

give it an oil change

replace a few bulbs

give everything a quick check over

pump tyres up

ring insurance up and get it covered

and hopefully all will be ok

only things i can see that might be a bit iffy are rear 'A' frame ball joint has some play in it but a new one on order, and also emissions due to a small centre box only

Good luck mate,
mines on Wed so I've got a bit more time to trace a mystery clunk from the right front when I brake.

Well emissions were a bit high but he let that go.

also replaced 3 bulbs and un-blocked a washer that was it

so all good for another year now.

just got to do the dreaded thing of paying £100+ to tax it

I was busy welding Blue with about 1 1/4 hours left to the dealdine for getting it retested......

......when my welder broke.

So I know what it feels like to be up against a deadline. I finally got it done but I couldn't use the car for a task I had planned.
