Today while parking-up I did not put the RRC in "park" and I managed to bulldoze someone's garage wall down. :'(
Hopefully my insurance company will be lenient  Im writing this after spending an hour filling in police paperwork
On another note the Range Rover was not damaged. Im a bit [!Expletive Deleted!] off, for such a stupid mistake! :x

At least it was empty .....
imagine the paperwork if there had been a motor in there.........
the bricks look ok so it should only be a couple of days for a brickie
-
One of the lasses who works with me missus left her 55 reg focus on a hill and only put the handbrake up 1 notch, she couldnt understand why when she came back out it was 75 metres down the hill attached to a lamp post!! How it never hit anyone we will never know cos it was market day as well!
-
Oo Dear Not Good mate :(
Atleast the range rover isĀ all gd
Jay.
-
"Oh dear!"
hope you come out alright

How is your insurance? might be worth getting a cash in hand price form a brickie before you complete your claim.
-
Its council property so they are dealing with it, They will be billing me, i will have to pass it on to the insurance company
-
hi mate im only in solihull and could put a quote together for the council which would be possibly less than your excess pm me cheers dave
-
I hate to say it but the whole lot might have to come down. If you look at the top left of the hole there seems to be a crack, and the wooden bargeboard along the top doesn't quite line up with the one on the wall to the left.
Just be sure whether that was there before or after the crash, as I've seen similar problems on a fair number of buildings that haven't been hit by anything. It wouldn't be fair to be billed for the full cost if there was already a problem.

What was wrong with the hand brake?
-
The council are going to have there own guys repair it, but thanks for the offer. ;)
I don't tend to use the handbrake, 99% of the time i put it in park!
-
I use to do that as well, but if its on a slope I found the praking lock disengaged with a rather too noticeable click. Fixing a worn handbrake is easier than a gearbox.

LOL. I dropped off the misses parents to the airport in her step dads audi. As i parked the car up and put some bags in the house, i noticed the car was rolling backwards so i ran behind it to try and stop it but I couldn.t hold it. It forced me into the neighbours garden with the sitting on top of this rose bush. I got in the car to get it out the garden to find the bumper had fell off. I was Shi*ing it, Took me about an hour the get it back on.

lmao.... surely common sense should prevail and if a car, which is anythin up to 2 tonnes of metal, is rolling away the last thing we should do is get behind it!!
but, saying that, i dont suppose we have much time for common sense in a spur of the moment situation like this... and to be honest, id probably have done the same thing myself!!
glad to hear youre ok tho mate and no injuries were sustained and the bumper got fixed!! and what the owner doesnt know about wont hurt him!! lol

Well I did tell him about it, because i didn't want the neighbours saying something and him asking me what had happened to his car. I didn't mention about the bumper part though.

There is nowt as queer as folk.
SWMBO used to work as a legal secretary. She told me a case where a person was suing the driver of a steam road roller because she tried to stop it rolling with HER FOOT
Needless to say, the roller won :( I never got to hear what happened in the case

I dread to think what happened to her foot, but only coz I'm squeamish.
