Nightfreight have a dedicated odd shape service , it's for the strange stuff but costs no more than a standard box so far I have had a bike ,canoe and a ladder delivered to work

Just make sure you have it delivered to a work address as they charge extra for domestic deliveries

Try interparcel.com they have done some good deals in the past, they are a sort of "broker".

I've arranged for the odd thing to be delivered to work, forgetting that I then have to carry it home on the train. The set of motorcycle bodywork was perhaps the most bizarre - and it didn't fit in the luggage rack either.
