well the oil pipe burst :'( so fixed that started driving it then checked the pipe ends to see if they were leaking well they were fine no leaks and working fine :dance: but then noticed a lil dripping . . . :shock:
well on the lift pump for the fuel where the spring is . . also were the accelerator cable attachs to ( hard to explain) :-k anyway there is diesel leaking out from the spring . . now me and my brother (bobtailbogey) had a look at it and recon the lift pump is shot . .
any ideas , advice or help will be much appriciated

That sounds like the injector pump, rather than the lift pump. It may just want new seals, in which case somewhere like Thames Valley Electro Diesel (near Reading), will be able to do it for about £80.

That sounds like the injector pump, rather than the lift pump. It may just want new seals, in which case somewhere like Thames Valley Electro Diesel (near Reading), will be able to do it for about £80.
cheers mate but i cant get it to reading lol . . ill tae it apart see whats broke and chat to the local landy breaker and see if he has go a whole working unit to just replace the whole lot . . .

The problem with injector pumps is once you take the pulley off (which you have to do to remove the entire unit), there is no woodruff key on it, which means you cannot put the pulley back on in the right place. Unless, you have all the relevant specialist tools.

so landrover have screwed you over before you even start :)
oh well better get hunting round for a new unit before saturday Mike. need to get out and test my winch

so basically cut a long story short its guna cost a shed load of money to fix :shock: :'(

Thames Valley Electro Diesel charge me abiut £80 a unit to replace all the seals and put it back together. I would think there is a similar place near you to do it.

thanx J.D ill av a ring around see what i can find and hopefully come up trumps but then theonly problem is getting the broken 1 off :'(

well hopefully sort it now just bought a new injection pump unit off flea bay so hopefully start taking it apart and get it fixed
