Title: Ross 4x4...ebay...
Post by: lee celtic on May 15, 2009, 14:12:23
Hi All

Have any of you lot had any dealings with Ross 4x4 on ebay ???

Only I have been bidding on Defender wheel arch extentions for ages now (4 separate listings over the last 4 weeks) and every time I'm winning they end the listing early stating there was a mistake in the listing , then they re-list it again exactly the same

And Any messages are replied to with just a phone number

I won't be bidding on any of their sales again I think they are just trying to get away with not paying to put a reserve on .

Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem with them ... ;)

They are 10 miles from me and I have had the same problem numerous times (not with wheel arches tho  :D )
Reported to ebay but told "they were within the rules"

Have heard a rumour that a lot of stuff could of been aquired by 'variuos means'  ;)

They do not have a good name in the area - but are licensed by DVLA to scrap cars!

Well i wouldnt recommend doing this cos its not ethical etc..... but you could get a couple of you and bid it up stupidly high, then just not pay him!

He cant leave you a neg as a seller and as such you will only get a non paying bidder strike against you!

They cant even take you to court for the fees or owt as they get them back when the non paying bidder bit finishes!

Plus it means you can neg him and let people know what he is doing :D

But i wouldnt of course recommend doing something to breach ebays terms and conditions! hehehehe
