Title: How many splines?
Post by: Yoshi on May 20, 2009, 15:35:37
How many splines on the steering wheel shaft does my 110 have?  Its an 1988 110, the one that had the steering wheel with the square bit in the middle?

I have a momo wheel now you see and just trying to get the boss for it, but its either 36 or 48 splines!

Cheers

best to pull the old wheel off and count to be sure, you will find the old wheel will need a fair bit of force to get it off even a whack with a rubber mallet a few times, so when you do it leave the sercuring nut on a few turns as otherwise the wheel will fly off and hit you in the face ;)

Oh i know that one, was hoping to not have to remove the current one cos its a mountney one, not the original one, if it was the original wheel then i have the puller part for it lol

So if anyone knows i would still be grateful :D

Mine is supposed to be a 1988 90, although I've found lot's that suggest it's earlier!

Just counted 36 splines. HTH.

Worst comes to the worst i get the 36, then if it dont fit i can send it back and get the 48!
