Did you see him on Top Gear? When he spoke about the loss of his wife his voice wavered. They had known each other since a young age and he saw her as a true friend as well as his loving wife. I have to admit to a lump in my throat when he spoke so tenderly about her. He now fills his life so he doesn't have time to think. He said it's the only way he can deal with her loss.

Remarkable and lovely man. If only the world was filled with more like him.

He is the sort of bloke that only comes up every few Generations - AKA Earnest Shackleton.

See if you can get and read "the feather men" by Ranulph Fiennes, its old now but a real eye opener.

Read it. Quite astounding. Another one of his is 'The Sett'. Scary stuff.

Great book, a bit of an eye opener!
Starts off in Bristol which is quite cool too, it's strange when you're reading a book and you know all the places they're talking about.
