Had my Disco 1 300tdi into the garage for some work on the front wheel bearing etc and now there appears to be a rubbing where the tyre wall just clips the radius arm when full lock to the left (doesn't happen to the right).
told that this will happen as tryes too big but has never done it before. Is sthere a fix I can do to stop it - what has caused this to start or do i need to go down the path of wheel spacers. I have some off road grizzly claws for when i off road it which are wider so will add to the problem.
Can anyone mkae any suggestions ?

My Jungle Trekkers used to rub on the radius arms
It was a nice warning sound that i was on full lock and tbh i was never turning that tight fast anyway
I never found it a problem
You could try larger off set wheels or if it really bugs you wind out the lock stop bolts on the end of the stub axle's
:D

On the side of the swivel housing there is a large bolt which you can unscrew to alter the steering lock limit. All it does is physically stops the steering from moving past a certain point.
I'd wager the muppets in the garage have seen it, thought it was a loose nut and screwed it back in. At least that's what the muppets at my local garage did, nearly costing me a pair of front tyres... if they don't know what it is, they should damn well leave it alone!

Yes the lock stops are adjustable, there's a measurement that I can't rememeber because they have to protect he swivel oil seal form over-extension as well as the tyres rubbing which is an MOT fail.
Loosent he locknut, adjust the bolt, tighten the locknut.. All visible from the front of the axle.
If you have the tracking done this will need checking BTW, the LH lockstop protects the RH wheel and vica-versa.
