hi all im looking to get a twist off ramp for my club for the pay n play days, i.e competitions on the day.

Why dont you make one!
All the calculations that you need to be able to work out the RTI use the angle of the ramp, therefore they can be changed if your ramp is different to the other ones.
It will be easy to make one, just make it wide enough that it doesnt fall over when there is a truck on it

Might also be worth building one that checks the flex on both axles - eg a smaller ramp in front of the front right and rear left wheels. That's a better simulation of a proper axle-twister!

lads im sat here laughing so much, me with a welder, you would drive on it and it would colapse,
ive owned a welder for over 1 year but never used it, id prefer to buy a proper 1

It probably wouldn't be tool expensive to get one fabricated to your own specification. There are enough people on these forums that trust their weld. Do you plan on towing one as a trailer, or have one colapsoble so all you have to do is unpack out of the boot and bolt together. 20 degrees seems to be the common angle, much steeper can be awkward to driver up.
I just use a flat bed trailer ramp and hook it on the carriege plate of the telehandler to test mine at home. A 6ft ramp is really a bit too short for modified vehicles, but for some reason my farther doesn't want to by a nice set of aluminium 8 ft ramps [-o<

i use a concrete ramp/platform in my yard(see my profile pic), think it was originally wsedd for loading milk churns, weve had a 110 and a 90 up on 2 wheels on it :D

that wont work too well, yo get the rear on a ramp it can only be as tall as the sills and some vehicles are shorter than others.
tomcat make the big red one floating around, call them and ask niceley and they might give you drawings

i could make you one if you couldnt find anyone else to do so as i do welding :D
-
indeed, get boss to make you one, as he is good with a welder, and needs the extra ££

You're putting two plus tons of vehicle on a few piled up bits and pieces on a public road?
Could always try my approach - waffle board and a hefty lump of tree. Not sure it will show enough flex for competition purposes though!

Rob, if you don't find one, i could knock one up to your own design.
