Its back! Big Brother has returned! Once again the house of Shagg-Pyle is resonating to the screeches of Davina and the morons who want to claim their 15 minutes of fame! HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE!
How low has society stooped, that the media companies have to force feed the masses with the idiocy of the so called contestants? Why doesn't some public spirited person break into the House and feed them a cocktail of arsenic and petrol, then offer them a light for the ciggies from a zippo lighter?

I find it particularly ironic that the man responsible for BB is a descendant of the man who designed and built London's sewage system. So the family business has gone from taking the "waste" out of London to putting it back in!

Indeed. It's not that dissimilar to the old "visit the lunatic asylum and laugh at the inmates". I'd bet that a competent psychologist could find all manner of disorders in the BB residents.
My suggestion: Run it under the rules of "Battle Royale". Last one alive is released, attempts to escape will lead to the detonation of an explosive collar! :lol:

It is this time of year that I thank my old friend for running off with my wife..!!!! if it wasn't for him I'd be subjected to watching the drivel every night...!!!!!

I have to admit to watching the first BB :oops:
And I thought it was great , the reason for it being great was that the people who went in had no idea what was going to happen , they were reasonably ordinary people . and were very entertaining in an animals in the zoo sort of way..
However as usual some idiot thought that watching people who are already off their heads trying to get famous for five seconds would improve ratings. When in reality (and thats the key word here reality! ) watching some loud ,halfway through a sex change , gimp , crying because somebody ate the last egg ,,,,,,well thats frankly not reality :roll:
I still think that BB was a one show pony and once the second show inmates found out what it was about the whole thing would be pointless .
The idea was good to see ordinary people forced to get on or not in a confined space while being watched 24 hours a day was interesting , but now it's so not...
PS deadset was great and Davina is well fit. ;)

I hate the reality shows, talent shows and other such dross that is on TV these days.
The truth behind them is that a few already very rich folk in the "entertainment business" get even richer by portaying the public at it's worst.They then make even more money by signing the deluded "stars" of such shows up in return for a large percentage of what they earn from the publicity generated by them.
I wish I had thought of it years ago.... saves working for a living.

I still think that they should be allowed a TV in there -thats tuned into them.. and thats all they can watch 24/7. maybe then they can see themselves for what they really are!!!

I like the ideas put forwards by a comedian I saw a few weeks back...
On eviction night, just have a lone gunshot and the crowds fall silent shortly after the first person leaves the house
Or ...
Fly overhead with fighters for a few nights and set off some loud explosions nearby, then cut the power off and let them leave into a deserted studio with the odd bullet hole in the walls
*then* we'll have an interesting social experiment to watch :)

Call me dull, but If I dont like a tv prog I dont watch it. As I dont read the gossip rags and tabloids I dont feel like it invades my life. If my wife watches it I go and do something else like play with my tractor or watch something on Iplayer.
I think people who hate BB are as much a part of the BB phonomenom as those that love it, for me its a total non issue.

An interesting idea, but I would have to answer by saying that it does invade everything that goes on. If I'm at work, it's talked about in the canteen, even at 'customers' houses, its on.

it aint just bb on the tv that annoys me . . . its all the other shhhii**** on there like britans got retards and crap factor also gay idol . . . . i really cant stand all these rubbish tv programs its just a waste of time and money . . . if they got the talent to do it make them make there own future not handed to them after a tv program . . . :-$

Will i for one have never met anyone that even comes close to any of them on the streets of Britain.

You are very very fortunate! Virtually every person I meet during my working day is either a potential BB inmate or Jeremy Kyle guest speaker!

I had the misfortune of walking into my friends house when she was watching this mindless drivel the other night.
I was trying to work out whether I would enjoy rubbing honey into my own eyes, then agitating a bees nest whilst trapping my left arm in a food blender and repeatedly beating myself in the face with a lumphammer would be more or less pleasurable than watching BB. The answer was............I would enjoy it more. In fact I came to the conclustion that having my ears violated by a drill at the same time would also prevent me from hearing it as well- making sure that I would not have to suffer it.
The BB house has become like a place to round up imbeciles and priming them ready for a trisha or jeremy kyle show appearance.
I agree, battle royale big brother- help natural selection on its way!

this being mean to bb contestants thread reminds me of Douglas Adams Hitch Hiker Guide to Galaxy series of books where part of the story is about a 'fired into space' ARK type ship full of hairdressers, account executives, film makers, security guards, telephone sanitisers, and people akin to big brother contestants which made up 1 third of a planets population.
The other two thirds of the planets population, consisting of brilliant leaders and the workers who actually do the physical work, lived safely on their planet, having tricked the other supposedly useless third of the entire population into leaving. They said the planet was going to die and said you lot go first and we'll be right behind you in another two ARK ships as the first thing we will really want on a new home planet is a good haircut.
Trouble is the remaining two thirds got wiped out by a virulent disease contracted from a dirty telephone :D
