first problem, i have a new throttle cable for my 3.5 EFI V8 rrc. i have connected the new cable to the peddle but the other end is connected behind the EFI bit and i cant see how to get to it?
second thing is when i was pulling and prodding things i found this:

is it a cold start thing? and could i take it out as some one has just taped 3 screws through it to hold it to the air flow meter and there is a big gap all the way round it.
Cheers,
Nick

Lordy, that looks like the remains of a bad LPG install, chuck it away, the car might go faster without it
As for the cable, you might need a manual for it some time ;) but it should loop around the air flow meter and connect to the brakcet behind the plenum inlet, it pulls to the top of the throttle spindle IIRC but it's slightly different to the 3.9 so I'll have to check.

That's to save your flapper in the event of a LPG backfire. Worth keeping if you still have LPG fitted.
Throttle cable can be done in situ but it is easier to take the 6 bolts out of the plenum chamber and twist it to get to the thottle mechanism.
Hope this helps

ye i am running LPG so will keep it in andadd a small piece of rubber pipe. mite even rip it all out and do i in silicone. ye i can just about see where the cable is attached just cant get to it. will try taking the plenum chamber off and doing the cable.
Cheers,
Nick
