noticed this yesturday morning drove down the road and put the brakes on . . well the pedal went down the bottom then the brakes worked . . well pumped the pedal and all was fine but kept my foot on the pedal and it slowly went to the floor and lost all pressure . . . :'(
ive checked the vacuum pipe cant see and splits and submerged it in water cant see any air leaking out . . .what else caould be causig my brakes to do this . . is it seals in the servo or is the vacuum pump shagged . . .
cheers mike

Sounds like the seals in the master cylinder are shot.
Have a look at the colour of your brake fluid, if its black thats a tell tail sign of the seals wearing.
wizard

well update is the passanger side front caliper was leaking fluid so i changed that just gota bleed the brakes . . . now the fluid that came out wasnt black was still normal clearish colour . . .
just hopeing that once the brakes are bled and the caliper is pressurised it will work . .

bled the caliper and still no pressure :'(. . is fine if u pump it but then it sinks back to the floor also wen pushing the pedal has like 2 stages . . its goes down then reaches a point and goes down even more like its pushing a blockage through . . is this just air in the system or is it the seals in the master cylinder

Sounds llike you have a leak, either the master cylinder or another wheel cylinder. Inside the master there is 2 sets of seals, dual circuit. It will "work" if all but the outer one are goosed, for what they cost though don't bother rebuilding it.

so its better to just get a new master cylinder then and see if that works saves taking it apart and trying to repair it ???
