A mate had his clutch slave go today, and the rod has come off the clutch arm. He can't work out how to get it back on. muggins is going to have a look tomorrow - can someone remind me how it fits?

there is a little plastic clip on the fork that holds it in place,my mate had this problem ended up taking the box off to sort it :?

I did manage to fit a new clip & rod on one once but it was very very fiddley, better than taking the box out though :roll:

OK. Who designed it? I'd like to do things with a baseball bat that defy imagination. Ended up breaking one of the legs of the clip, si it's a 30 mile round trip to get one in the morning.
SOMEONE must know an easy way to do this......

Hold the pushrod into the clutch fork using thick sticky grease, the thickes you can get hold of, then fit the slave cyclinder. Once assembled I don't think the clip does very much.

Thats what i did with mine when i fitted a new clutch and mines been fine since ;)

Yeah - I realised that the clip did b-all when it was all together & improvised along those very lines!

You can do it with a pair of long nose pliers, its fiddly, but possibly quicker than dropping the box, depending on how strong your fingers are.

You can also cut a "service hole" in the bellhousing with a holesaw if you really must.
