Title: rear wiper relay
Post by: Dr Neil on June 30, 2009, 22:40:01
I am trying to sort out a friends rear wiper fault. It don't work!!

The rear screen wash didn't work either and i found out that it wasn't getting a live feed to the switch(nor was the rear wiper switch).I have supplied the rear washer switch with a 12 volt feed and now the rear wiper switch has got one too, i presume they are spliced together. With the switch now having a 12 volt feed if i bridge two of the three wires to the rear wiper it works and when i remove the bridge wire it continues to operate until it parks in the correct place,So i know the motor is good. My question is does the rear wiper have a relay and if so where is it, i have looked in the drivers and passengers footwell behind the trims but cannot confirm it is one of these.

Has anyone come a cross this before?

By the way it is an "L" 300tdi.

Thanks in advance

Neil...

Hi
The wiper relays are in the passenger footwell. Mounted on the sidewall.
I cant remeber which is the rear wiper though.
I think its the 2nd from the front (red relay maybe)

If it is the same as a Range Rover then I have a spare working one if you need it?
