Title: rear axle

hi guys i got a 200tdi discovery with 24 spline axles, ive been offered a sailbury axle for a reasonable price, will i be able to fit it straight on or are the spline different and what would i have to do to fit it,

i'd be greatfull for any info.

Propshaft will be the wromng length and depending what it came out of, probably drum brakes too.

i no 1 thing its got disc on it, , so what prop would i need or do i have to have 1 made up

I think you would need one made up as the salsbury's were fitted to 110 and 130's. this is because the nose of the diff is longer I believe.

There is a propshaft specialist down your way somewhere? (Newport I think) a mate of mine used them to cut and shut a prop and was very impressed with it, very well balanced.

depending on what it came from it could also have a differfent diff ratio

if your only putting it on the back i see no need to, but if you have a pare they will run 40" boggers quite happily ;)
