does anyone know how the hell i can tax my defender without any paperwork? i got it at the end of april from a dealer and at the time they were waiting for the log book so couldnt give me the new keeper bit, rang them every couple of weeks when it didnt arrive at my house, at the end of june i rang them again and it had arived so they sent it straight off to be redone, and it hasnt come back to me yet so how am i suposed to tax it? i might even have to sorn it, but how can i do that either without any papers? any ideas please :evil:

Fill in a form (v62 )i think and go to a licencing center with MOT and Insurance

And a V10

And then pop to your local DVLA office with the MOT and Insurance, job done. You will have to pay a £25 fee but you may, and I say may, be able to get that back from the dealer if you hassle them enough.

think its this form -post office will give you it --i have just had to do my new car with no papers!

just spoken to the dealer, and the green slip(new keeper bit) is on its way, so with the insurance and test cert i should be ok [-o<

Yeah, with green slip you can tax the car, thats not a problem at all.
They just scan it so u dont even have to fill a form in!
