From South Africa, been to a couple of sites but none as informing as this. I have a 98 D1 with endless EFI issues and MPG probplems. I am fitting SU's and floggin the EFI system.
Will post pics of my ride in the Disco forum.

I have an oilburner myself so I'm unable to help with your EFI troubles but someone will be along and answer any questions you might present.

There are also a few guys on here from your homeland, no doubt they'll be along shortly too.

Pity you are abandoning the EFi, not much inherently wrong with them, I'd much rather have it than carbs now!

MAF is fried, costs too much to replace.$$$$

They are pretty cheap over here.  Try Ebay UK.

You know that if they have sucked in mud and water, that it might just be that you can clean the hot wire and it will work fine!

Tried that already. Runs rich. balck sooty plugs etc. Cant afford to  get stuck out in the sticks with a fwarked EFI. Lions and all that you know.
