..... SWMBO to buy me an 'experience day' with this 'wee beastie' (http://www.ringhouse.co.uk/traction/home.html)
Either that or a ride in here (http://www.lincsaviation.co.uk/popup.cfm?p_n=48324&p_i=48324)
She's got until October to get it sorted
As an aside, Joanne told me that her company is considering holding the Chr*stm*s party in summer instead, so more will attend (& lighter nights)
Instead of the usual Hotel dinner/dance, etc.... perhaps an 'activity weekend', maybe 4x4 driving.
She told me this last Thursday (24th) whilst we were on the A65 heading towards the Lake District, co-incidentally as we were passing Coniston Cold
And guess what is based just there(& was in sight as we passed the Hall???? Yes, you guessed! (http://www.landroverexperience.uk.com/)
So I think she's suggesting it to the Director :D :D :D
I want the silver one! (http://community.webshots.com/photo/139093170/168496630mvbwve)

why on earth would you want to ride in a taxi as a birthday treat? You need to get out more.

Just emigrate to my part of the world - xmas is in midsummer - lunch at the beach, light until 9:30pm, lots of chances to play offroad.
Then again, lots of companies have a mid-winter xmas celebration instead to make it feel "right". Strange how nobody's happy with what they've got innit.

Have a word with Baz Matthews on this forum - his shortwave radio club has a station at the Lincs Aviation place. We are hoping to go at the end of April for a Steam Rally and a look at the planes :D

Oh God!
Now I feel really, really old
For my fortieth - a few years ago - I wanted a garage set; crawler board, axle stands, 3.5 or 4 tonne hydraulic jack. Yes, you've guessed it, I wanted stuff to 'fix' my landies with.
Hubs refused and bought me a Beamer instead. Must admit, a nice smooth ride on the M-ways to work.
would have prefered the garage kit tho', so treated myself.

At least he didn't bring a redundant 'Gate Guardian' home, like a Lightning, or a Phantom
That'd have got the neighbours curtains twitching
Cost a fortune in wrapping paper as well

'Andy the L';
I've been down there already to see it and timed my dates correctly to see the 2-seater Spitfire (http://community.webshots.com/album/149735865yZdsET) up in the air as well
