Title: skype spam

Is it just me or has there been a massive increase in the 'please add me to contacts' Spam on skype?

 Can't do a thing about it either with privacy settings already set to allow calls and messages from only people in my contact list but these are 'contact requests' so  are allowed to get through and they have a short message attached in the request too so perfect for SPAM.  These spammers get added to my contact list until I manually select ADD, REMOVE, BLOCK.

I have now set skype to hide contacts in the list that haven't shared details and to not display a pop up everytime there is a contact request, but it's hardly a great solution.

Me to ahd half a dozen in the last 2 days - not a big deal really though - just ignore them. More annoying on the mobile when I have to check new skype messages to find its some contact request form xyz1223TTT or whatever
