Well i have found out the hard way why fitting bigger tyres is not a good idea until after you have trimmed the arches!
Please note this was road use, apart from the short off road drive to the camping field!

Ooops. Ah well, high lift to bend the bumper back and a bit of action with a grinder and all sorted.

Well am in the middle of the camping field at birthday bash, and low and behold i have a high lift and a grinder here :D
Should be ready for tomorrow lol

Well done Yoshi.... I had the same prob when I moved to 235/85's... still... at least we now both know where to cut now!
When I get home I'll post some of my wheel arches.

LOL yeah, there will be cutting a plenty in the morning lol
Also have to cut me new steering guard to make it fit with me winch bumper, so thats an hours entertainment in the morning lol

I have a 200TDi Disco, NO suspension lift although I do have new springs and shocks.
I run on 235.85R16 Cooper Discoverer STT's on standard Disco steel rims.
I have not done any trimming of the arches (camel Cut) and have never caught them!!
Was showing my nephew over some trial sections yesterday and just been laning today over the Welsh moutains (Soar Mynedd, Strata, one near Devils bridge, and Nant y Moch) and even managed to fall onto my side!! But absolutely no damage to my wings!!

I run on 235.85R16 Cooper Discoverer STT's on standard Disco steel rims.
I have not done any trimming of the arches (camel Cut) and have never caught them!!
Is that a *big* tyre then? :) thought it was normal to run 235.85 without ever needing a mod on a disco. http://members.shaw.ca/jbarge/tires.html
Yoshi is running *bigger* tyres (I believe he got 265/75 on +10inch rims).

Rear fender trimming (camel cut?)
Front endcap trimming
Steering stops
Possible bump stop height.
